MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is a popular electronic trading platform that is used to trade forex, CFDs and other financial instruments. It is developed by MetaQuotes software and is widely used by traders, brokers and financial institutions around the world. The platform offers advanced charting capabilities, technical indicators, and automated trading strategies. The software consists of:

  • a client component that needs to be installed on the computer of the trader. It can be downloaded for free directly from the MetaQuotes website.
